Best Fried Grouper Sandwich I have ever had. period.
Large Sized Stone Crabs - if you have never had them, dont get the small ones - get the big ones and Frenchy's does them right. get them cold. yummy!
This is a long drive for a Grouper Sandwich, but hell, I drive 30 minutes one way for a Faedos Cuban..

So, I was taking notes for this review and I accidentally posted so I had to redo it. Like to hear it here it goes...
I've come to Frenchy's Rockaway Grill a couple of times mainly for the view. This Frenchy's location sits right on Clearwater Beach. So the view is stunning! I usually sit outside so that as I eat, I can gaze upon the beautiful, crystal clear water of the Gulf. It is relaxing to people watch. You see groups of people playing volleyball, kids playing with the seagulls (yes, I saw this. She was about 3 years old, bold, and unafraid playing tag with them.. LOL), families relaxing up under the orange umbrellas, as others walk west and disappear into the ocean (I don't mean disappearing as in they drown or they were attacked by a shark. I mean as you walk towards the water the sand dips and you can no longer see them until they are in the water). :-)
The drinks are decent and the food is average really. I think it's overpriced for the frozen fries. But the seafood is fresh which is always a plus and the service has been good each time I've come. The most recent time that I came, I ordered the shrimp burger with a side of fries which is a 99-cent upcharge. The the shrimp burger was the consistency of a veggie burger with some chunks of shrimp. It was fresh seafood with with a tasty flavor. Unfortunately, the bun nor the condiments did anything to enhance the flavors of the seafood neither did the sauce.
It's a bar/restaurant on the beach so you pay more for the view but it is, I think, one of the best views on Clearwater Beach that also has a chilled and relaxed atmosphere. I'll be back yet again Frenchy's :-) -

Every time I visit Clearwater , I have to make a stop here ! This is my favorite place in the area and it truly never disappoints!! The drinks are all amazing and they definitely creep up on you .
I always go for the grouper sandwich but just about everything there is delicious !
Make sure you start with the crab fries for an app, so much crab meat and so delicious !!
And ask for outdside seating , you get to view the beach and it's beautiful! ( weather permitting of course ) -

We visited Clearwater beach on our visit to Orlando and decided to try frenchy's grill for dinner. First, excellent waiting system at frenchy's. They take your name and give you a link to check what your wait time and number is. Extremely organized!
3* for the food, absolutely no spices, no salt and pretty bland. Not sure who would eat a Mahi sandwich with no salt. Slaw with more water and less cream and cajun grouper platter with absolutely no salt and spices. Disappointed. I would have loved to rate more, but for the location and crowd, Frenchy's needs to amp up their taste. -

Mini vacation 20 minutes away from home? Yes please.
Right on the Clearwater Beach, location can't be better for frenchy's Rockaway grill.
I'm giving it overall 4 stars and yes it might be influenced by a couple of drinks.
Yes it's crowded, hot, loud, touristy has a moderate to long wait for the table, but it was also fun as you can walk on the beach, watch the sunset in the evening while you wait for your table. They will call you and text you once your table is ready and it was shorter wait than I expected. I prefer outdoor seating if it's not too hot.
We started with Tuna stuffed avocados. It was definitely good for the price. It was a bit like deconstructed sushi roll with seaweed salad.
After the healthy option, I went for the Four kings - fried. It was good, fresh, presentation was not the best but I'm not complaining about that. Scallops and shrimp did stand out, grouper and crab cake were okay but overall it lacked flavor.
Side of coconut rice was just plain, it didn't have and hint of coconut or flavor. Fries were regular fries.
Overall it was a good break and experience, they also had live band playing around 9pm.
